Championship stats and tips

Tuesday 11th February

Coventry v QPR - Win / Draw / Win - home win

Most of us have heard of 'the wisdom of the crowd', and our hive of members may just be wiser than most. On Tuesday, 13 have decided to bet on Coventry City to win against Queens Park Rangers at Ricoh Arena. With odds of 1.80 from some of the UK's leading bookmakers, available on KickOff, they'll be praying Frank Kramer delivers a masterclass and claims that invaluable home win.

Derby v Oxford Utd - Over / Under 1.5 Goals - over

6 of our members think this clash between Derby County and Oxford United will have a minimum of 2 goals. It may not be a classic, but there should be plenty to keep both the Pride Park Stadium crowdhappy

Portsmouth v Cardiff - Win / Draw / Win - home win

As we all know, Portsmouth's loyal followers have come to expect a lot from their club and, according to KickOff's users, they may just have them met on Tuesday evening. 18 of our tipsters are predicting that J. Mousinho's side will get the win as Metin Diyadin's Cardiff City visit Fratton Park. Will that prove to be a smart call? We'll find out at FT.

Watford v Leeds - Win / Draw / Win - away win

Some bettors shy away from the away win, but our ever-growing hive of football tipsters are definitely predicting one as D. Farke and his Leeds United side arrive at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening. 13 of those tipsters are tipping that T. Cleverley's Watford will suffer defeat in their own ground. With decent odds available, it may well be worth doing the same.

Norwich v Preston - Win / Draw / Win - home win

KickOff's tipsters have a strong feeling about this match, and the evidence to back it up. On Tuesday, 22 have bet on Norwich City to get the win versus Preston North End at Carrow Road. With odds of 1.75 from some of the UK's leading bookmakers, available on KickOff, they'll be praying J. Hoff Thorup delivers a masterclass and brings home that invaluable home win.

Wednesday 12th February

Bristol C v Stoke - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

The record books suggest we could have a classic on our hands at Robins High Performance Centre on Wednesday evening. Each of Bristol City and Stoke City's last 5 Championship duals have had over 2.5 goals, and Liam Manning and Mark Warburton's sides stand every chance of keeping the run going.

Burnley v Hull - Both Teams To Score - yes

When Burnley and Hull City have met in the league, goals have generally followed. Both sides have found the net in each of their last 5 meetings, so the Turf Moor faithful will be expecting another thriller on Wednesday evening.

Plymouth v Millwall - Double Chance - away win or draw

Plymouth Argyle have found something of a bogey team in Millwall in the Championship in recent years. The two teams have played on 7 occasions since 2004, and Millwall have gone unbeaten in them all. Wednesday's game at Home Park could be a tricky one for Leonid Kuchuk & co.

Sunderland v Luton - Win / Draw / Win - home win

If you're looking for a good, simple bet today, many of KickOff's tipsters would be pointing you towards a home win as Sunderland and Luton Town clash in the Championship on Wednesday. A total of 15 have backed it already, with best odds of 1.70 available.

Swansea v Sheff Wed - Double Chance - home win or draw

Sheffield Wednesday simply have not been able to find a way past Swansea City in the Championship in recent years. The two clubs have clashed on 7 occasions since 2019, and Swansea City have gone unbeaten in them all. Wednesday's game at Liberty Stadium could be a tricky one for D. Röhl & co.

Sheff Utd v M'Boro - Over / Under 3.5 Goals - under

There have been 3 goals or less in all of Sheffield United's last 12 Championship outings. As they go head to head with M. Carrick's Middlesbrough at Bramall Lane on Wednesday, the smart money should be backing another low-scoring affair.

West Brom v Blackburn - Over / Under 4.5 Goals - under

Blackburn Rovers's recent outings in the Championship have delivered decent entertainment, and a fair amount of goals, but it has been too long since J. Eustace's players treated their fans to the kind of goal-fest we all really want to see. There have been under 4.5 goals in all of their last 30 outings.

Saturday 15th February

Cardiff v Bristol C - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Cardiff City and Bristol City have laboured through a number of cagey affairs in recent years. With each of their last 5 Championship matches having under 2.5 goals, the strikers picked by Metin Diyadin and Liam Manning may be in for a tough lunch time.

Oxford Utd v Portsmouth - Both Teams To Score - yes

When Oxford United and Portsmouth have met in the league, goals have generally followed. Both sides have scored in each of their last 7 meetings, so the The Kassam Stadium crowd will be expecting another nail-biter on Saturday lunch time.

Preston v Burnley - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - under

Low scoring encounters aren't always boring, but fans of Burnley have had too many chances to test that theory this campaign. 25 of their side's encounters in the Championship have finished with under 2.5 goals so far - the most in the competition. Will Paul Heckingbottom and his Preston North End team be able to inject goals into this clash on Saturday? Or will it be more of the same?

Blackburn v Plymouth - Double Chance - away win or draw

Blackburn Rovers simply have not been able to find a way past Plymouth Argyle in the league in recent years. The two clubs have met on 5 occasions since 2017, and Plymouth Argyle have remained unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at Ewood Park (Blackburn, Lancashire) could be a really difficult one for J. Eustace & co.

Hull v Norwich - Over / Under 2.5 Goals - over

Stats suggest we could have some serious entertainment at KCOM Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Each of Hull City and Norwich City's last 6 Championship duals have had over 2.5 goals, and Ruben Albes and J. Hoff Thorup's sides look a strong bet to keep the streak going.

Luton v Sheff Utd - Both Teams To Score & Result -

If you like tipping goals and choosing a victor, then the upcoming clash between Luton Town and Sheffield United might well warrant a closer look. Matt Gray's side have lost 10 games this campaign in which both clubs have got on the scoresheet. That's a record in the Championship.

M'Boro v Watford - Both Teams To Score - yes

Fans at Riverside Stadium may be anticipating goals galore on Saturday, and rightly so if Watford's recent record is to be continued. We've seen BTTS in 20 of their 31 Championship matches this season, the largest number in the competition.

Millwall v West Brom - Double Chance - home win or draw

West Bromwich Albion have found something of a bogey team in Millwall in the Championship in recent years. The two sides have met on 7 occasions since 2021, and Millwall have gone unbeaten in them all. Saturday's game at The Den could be a really difficult one for Tony Mowbray & co.

Monday 17th February

Leeds v Sunderland - Half Time / Full Time - home+home

R. Le Bris won't be looking forward to facing Leeds United in the Championship on Monday. D. Farke's side have been winning at halftime and gone on to claim victory at fulltime more often than any other team in the the Championship this term - 15 times in total. That record suggests there's every chance of it being a tough night for Sunderland, and that backing Leeds United in the HT FT market could be a strong bet at odds of 2.60.

Tuesday 18th February

Preston v Millwall - Double Chance - away win or draw

Preston North End simply have not been able to find a way past Millwall in the Championship in recent years. The two clubs have met on 11 occasions since 2019, and Millwall have remained unbeaten in them all. Tuesday's game at Deepdale could be another hard one for Paul Heckingbottom & co.

Wednesday 19th February

Luton v Plymouth - Both Teams To Score & Result -

If you like tipping goals and choosing a victor, then the upcoming game between Luton Town and Plymouth Argyle might well be the one for you. Matt Gray's side have lost 10 games this term in which both sides have got on the scoresheet. That's the most in the Championship.

Sunday 23rd February

Watford v Luton - Both Teams To Score & Result -

If you like putting your money on goals and choosing a winner, then the upcoming fixture between Luton Town and Watford could be the one for you. Matt Gray's side have lost 10 games this term in which both sides have scored. That's a record in the Championship.
